Morgan’s wellness journey began in 2013 when she started practicing yoga as part of her new life in sobriety.
Her yoga practice began initially as a physical practice, something to keep her body and mind occupied and strong through her recovery. At the time, she couldn’t even touch her toes. However, it did not take her long to realize the other benefits that her practice brought her. Through fast-paced and physically challenging vinyasa flow classes, she developed a peace of mind, a sense of calm, an appreciation for the “here and now,” and a deeper patience and gratitude for her fellow human beings.
Originally from Illinois, Morgan moved to Reno in 2014. In fall of 2015 she began her 200-hour teacher training program and completed her registration through Yoga Alliance. Through her training, Morgan found her passion for helping people feel self-confident through fitness and wellness.
In the spring of 2017 she completed her personal training certification through the American Council on Exercise so that she could help others achieve their fitness goals. Soon after she competed in her first fitness competition as an athletic competitor with Nspire Sports League. She’s also certified as a stand up paddleboard yoga instructor and weight loss specialist.
She believes that every human is inherently awesome; some people just don’t realize it as quickly. Morgan’s goal is to use fitness and yoga to help people feel strong and confident in their physical self, to recognize how awesome they’ve been all along. She enjoys teaching fast paced classes that are positive and upbeat where students can laugh at and appreciate themselves. Morgan uses the hashtag #InspireByExample to remind herself and others to never stop inspiring, and never stop being inspired.
